Earlier this summer, from May 4th through May 9th, 澳客竞彩鈥檚 Sustainable Growth Initiative (SGI) and Faculty of Law co-organised the 2025 澳客竞彩 SGI Transformative Business Law Summer Academy (TBLSA). A summer course built on the success of the first such academy held in 2023, TBLSA 2025 was themed 鈥淐ontested Sustainabilities.鈥� It brought together 50 student Fellows with backgrounds in law, commerce, political science, sustainability and urban studies, among others, from across Canada and Europe.
Over the week of the Academy, TBLSA Fellows worked in a highly collaborative, intensive, and interdisciplinary environment, to study six specific areas of challenge and limits in current law and policy frameworks surrounding sustainability. They were supported by 19 Faculty members 鈥� both academics and practitioners 鈥� from 10 reputed universities and institutions across Canada, Europe, South America, and the US, in creating the 2025 TBLSA Impact Paper.
The resource critically analyzing current frameworks and offering potential alternatives and solutions, on topics including sustainability (disclosure) legislation, climate change litigation, emissions reporting in the context of contemporary AI development, financial sustainability, integrating Indigenous laws to co-produce sustainable change, and harmonizing Canadian sustainability frameworks with leading international regimes, keeping in mind the influence of social media and platforms firms in today鈥檚 economy.
