Spea kers will include distinguished leaders and rising stars\, with the goal o f bridging basic research and clinical perspectives.\n\n\nRegister for In- Person\n\nTo watch online\, click here\n\n\nAI in Epilepsy: From Diagnosis to Continuous Monitoring\n\nAbstract: This presentation will examine the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the diagnosis and monitorin g of epilepsy. We will review current methodologies in automated EEG analy sis as well as the integration of wearable technologies for seizure detect ion and forecasting. Emphasis will be placed on algorithm development\, va lidation metrics\, and the translational opportunities and challenges asso ciated with clinical deployment.\n\nElie Bou Assi\n\nDepartment of Neurosc ience\, Université de Montréal\, Centre de Recherche du Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CRCHUM)\n\n\n\nElie Bou Assi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the Faculty of Medicine\, Université de Montréal. He is also affiliated with the Institute for Data Valorization (IVADO) and serves as a principal scientist at the Centre de Recherche du Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CRCHUM). He h olds a PhD in biomedical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal. His rese arch focuses on applying artificial intelligence to EEG and physiological signals acquired through wearable devices to improve the diagnosis\, monit oring\, and management of epilepsy. He was named a Future Leader in Canadi an Brain Research by Brain Canada (2022) and received the Epilepsy Canada Young Investigator Award (2023) and the Canadian League Against Epilepsy P ublication Award (2023\, 2024).
