The Key Academic Dates found below are those approved by Senate in March 2025.
- Classes begin: Wednesday, AugustÌý27 (except for Dentistry and Medicine students – please see faculty schedules)
- Fall Reading Break: Tuesday, OctoberÌý14 to Friday, OctoberÌý17 inclusive (some exceptions apply)
- Makeup Day: Wednesday, December 3 *
- Classes end: Wednesday, DecemberÌý3
- Study Day: Thursday, DecemberÌý4
- Exams begin: Friday, DecemberÌý5
- Exams end: Friday, DecemberÌý19Ìý(11 days, including evening exams)

- Deadline to register for at least one course to avoid registration penalties: Thursday, August 14
- Deadline to cancel registration: Sunday, August 31
- Add/Drop deadline: Tuesday, September 9
- Course or University Withdrawal with refund deadline: Tuesday, September 16
- Course or University Withdrawal WITHOUT REFUND deadline: Tuesday, October 28

Note about Make Up Days: On Wednesday, DecemberÌý3, the normal Wednesday schedule of course lectures, labs, conferences, and tutorials will be replaced by a Monday schedule.

All course activities are cancelled and administrative offices are closed on the following dates:
- Labour Day: Monday, September 1
- Thanksgiving: Monday, October 13
- Holiday break: Thursday, DecemberÌý25, 2025 to Friday, January 2, 2026 inclusive
